Hello, Peter from My Tech Tradie today for this how-to I am going to show you how to restore your desktop icons in Windows 8.
By default Windows 8 doesn't show some of the desktops items that we are use to seeing such as My Computer, Recycle Bin or My Documents.
First step is to right click anywhere on the desktop. A new menu will popup, go down and click Personalise.
In the new window click 'Change Desktop Icons' on the left hand side.
Under the Desktop icons check the box next to all shortcuts you wish to restore. Then click the OK button
You can then close the Personalisation window.
The desktop icons you selected will now be back on the desktop.
Thankyou for watching this How-to and don't forget you can find more How-to videos as well as a full transcript at mytechtradie.com.au/How-to
