Connect to Wireless Network in Windows 7

Near the clock there is a network icon. By default it is a wireless strength indicator with a yellow star. Click this icon.

A new panel will open. This will is the wireless networks your computer can see. If you can’t see your network in the list click the blue button in the top right hand corner of the panel to refresh the list. Click your wireless name, a connect button will then be shown. Click the connect button.

You will then be prompted for your wireless password. Type it in the Security Key field and click Ok.

Your computer will then take a few seconds to connect. When it is done the Connecting window will disappear, otherwise this window will show any errors that are encountered.

You should then be able to open up your web browser and access the internet.
